What is a microneedle (microdart) eye patch?A microdart eye patch is an under-eye patch whose contact side carries a grid of tiny self-dissolving cones. On contact the cones soften into the skin and release the actives just below the surface rather than only on top — used as a premium eye format to help the look of dark circles, fine lines and puffiness. It's the fastest-growing eye-patch format.
Why an eye patch for oily & blemish-prone skin?Almost every eye patch is positioned for anti-ageing, which leaves oily, blemish-prone and sensitive-skin users under-served — many rich anti-ageing eye formulas feel heavy or can clog. As a 20-year oil-and-acne specialist we formulate non-comedogenic, soothing eye patches — including a biodegradable CNF base — for exactly that audience, an angle almost no eye-patch maker owns.

Do microneedle under-eye patches actually work?The format does what it says mechanically: the cones are made of dissolving, water-soluble material, so on contact they soften and release their payload just beneath the surface instead of leaving it on top — which is why brands use it where a cream or a wet hydrogel patch under-delivers. What it can honestly be sold as is appearance: the look of dark circles, fine lines and puffiness. The result depends on the actives, the cone load and how long it is worn, not on the word “microneedle” alone — so specify all three in the brief, and keep the claim cosmetic.
What makes a good microneedle eye patch — what should we specify?Six things decide whether the patch is good, and all six are yours to specify: cone count (our microdart eye patch runs 1,300 per patch, with a 600-needle version), cone height, cone matrix (what the cones are made of — HA and peptide carriers dissolve cleanly), the base the cones sit on (CNF, hydrogel or backing film), the actives, and the wear time the pack instructs. A maker that cannot quote all six to spec is reselling someone else’s patch.
Do you supply US and EU brands?Yes — we ship to 50+ countries, and the base is ISO 22716 and US FDA Cosmetic GMP certified, audited by L’Oréal, Watsons and MINISO. Note there is no meaningful US-based microneedle eye-patch OEM market: the tooling sits in Asia, so a “US manufacturer” is almost always a US-registered brand importing the same way. What matters is who owns the formula and QC — we do both, in our own certified base.
What does a private-label microneedle eye patch cost?There is no single unit price — cone count, actives, base and packaging move it more than volume does, and a microdart patch sits well above a plain hydrogel patch. Send the target retail price, pack count and the patch you benchmark against, and you get a costed quote within 24 hours, with the packaging broken out separately (on patch products, packaging and any custom tooling usually set the real minimum, not the patch).
Eye bags or dark circles — does the format change?The brief changes, not the technology. For the look of puffiness / eye bags, a cooling hydrogel or CNF base with caffeine-type actives does the visible work, and a chilled-application instruction helps. For the look of dark circles and fine lines, the microdart version is the one brands reach for, because the cones place the actives below the surface where a wet patch leaves them on top. Many launches run both as two SKUs on one base — and both stay appearance claims.
