Questions buyers always ask

What is a microneedle (microdart) wrinkle patch?A patch whose contact side carries a grid of tiny self-dissolving cones. On contact the cones soften into the skin and release the actives just below the surface rather than only on top — die-cut for expression-line zones: forehead, frown lines, nasolabial folds and under-eye.
Is a microdart patch the same as a “patch with needles”?Yes. “Microdart patch”, “microneedle patch” and “patch with needles” all describe the same format — a patch carrying an array of tiny self-dissolving cones. Buyers and shoppers use the words interchangeably.
Do microneedle patches actually work on wrinkles?Mechanically the format does what it claims: the cones are water-soluble, so they soften on contact and release their payload just beneath the surface instead of leaving it on top — which is where a cream or a wet patch under-delivers on an expression line. What it is not is a needle-free equivalent of a clinical procedure, and we won’t let a brand imply that. It is sold on appearance — the look of fine lines, smoothing, hydration — and the result comes from the six specs, not from the word on the box.
How is this different from microneedling with a roller or pen?Three different products share one word. Ours is a cosmetic dissolving microdart patch: the cones are made of water-soluble material, dissolve into the skin and disappear — worn at home, regulated as a cosmetic. Professional microneedling uses solid steel needles rolled or stamped into skin in a clinic, regulated as a device. Drug-delivery microneedles are engineered for a pharmacological dose and regulated as a drug. We keep those lines clear so your copy stays defensible.
Which zones can you die-cut?Forehead strip, frown / glabellar patch, nasolabial curve and under-eye crescent — or your own shape on a custom die. The shape matters more than buyers expect: an expression line moves, so a patch that isn’t cut for the zone lifts at the edge and stops delivering.
What should we specify to get a good patch?Six things, all yours to set: cone count, cone height, cone matrix (what the cones are made of — HA and peptide carriers dissolve cleanly), the zone shape it is die-cut to, the actives, and the wear time the pack instructs. A maker that cannot quote all six to spec is reselling someone else’s patch.
Can we put retinol in a microneedle wrinkle patch?Treat it as a market-by-market question, not a default. Retinoids are among the most regulated cosmetic actives — permitted forms and levels differ between the EU, the US and Asia, and pairing a regulated active with a format that places it below the surface invites a stricter reading of the product. Peptides and hyaluronic acid carry the same appearance story without that exposure. If a retinoid is central to the brand, we confirm the permitted form and level per market first, then brief the patch.
What can we claim on the patch?Cosmetic, appearance claims: the look of fine lines and expression lines, smoothing, hydrating, a plumper-looking surface. No medical or anti-ageing drug claims. Because a microneedle patch that delivers an active can be read as a drug or device in some markets, we match the actives, claim and labelling to each target market before you brief.
Do you supply US and EU brands?Yes — we ship to 50+ countries, and the base is ISO 22716 and US FDA Cosmetic GMP certified, audited by L’Oréal, Watsons and MINISO. Note there is no meaningful US-based OEM market for cosmetic dissolving microdart patches: the moulding tooling sits in Asia, so a “US manufacturer” is usually a US-registered brand or broker importing the same way. What matters is who owns the formula and QC — we do both.
What does a private-label microneedle wrinkle patch cost?There is no single unit price — cone count, actives, how many zone shapes are in the set and packaging move it more than volume does, and a microdart patch sits well above a plain hydrogel or silicone line patch.
