Buyers feel it the other way round — the substrate is the first thing their hand reports. Both halves have to be right, and a supplier who only converts one substrate will always recommend that one.

So the recommendation follows the brief, not the stock. Most "one-stop" suppliers convert one or two and outsource the rest.

We quote a ladder rather than a single price, because setup, changeover and QC time are close to fixed and the per-unit cost falls in steps rather than smoothly. Bands are exact quantities, not ranges — 4,500 units is quoted at the 3,000 band. Tooling is a separate line, charged once and not repeated on reorders.
