The hardest of the three formats — done properly.
Hydrogel lip mask OEM/ODM, cast on our own line from the same plant-based gel base as our eye and face masks. A lip is a compound curve in constant motion, it has a taste, and its colourant rules are stricter than a face product's — we brief all three before artwork. MOQ from 3,000 per SKU, 72-hour sampling.

A lip mask is not a small face mask.
Brands usually add the lip mask last, as the easy third format. It is the one with the most constraints — and two of them are regulatory rather than technical.
A compound curve that never holds still
Adhesion has to be higher and the gel more elastic. A kappa-dominant gel that passes on an eye patch cracks here, because the failure mode is flexing rather than weight.
It has a taste whether you designed one or not
Bitter botanicals and some preservatives taste unpleasant. A lip mask that works and tastes bad is reviewed as a bad product. We build taste into the sampling protocol.
The lip list is narrower than the face list
US colour additives are approved by use area; the EU lists lip-permitted colourants separately. A pigment cleared for a face mask may not be usable on a lip. Confirmed in writing before artwork.
Occlusion works better on lips than anywhere
Lips have no sebaceous glands and a thinner stratum corneum, so they lose water fast with nothing to stop it. A mask supplies the barrier they lack — which is why results show more clearly here.
Two constructions, one gel base.
Shape choices are limited by the same curvature problem that makes the format hard. Both routes run on the line that makes your eye and face SKUs.
| Construction | Fit | Application | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| One-piece, butterfly or lobed | Good, with a centre notch at the philtrum | Simplest — one piece on | The common answer; the notch improves fit noticeably |
| Two-piece, upper and lower | Best conformity | Fiddlier for the user | Worth it where fit is the selling point |
Sizing matters more here than on other formats — variance between users is proportionally large and there is far less forgiving margin than on a face sheet. Packaging: single sachet or multi-pair pouch. Custom die available; a stock die keeps a launch at the entry band.
An 8,000㎡ factory your buyers can trust.
Hydrogel casting runs in our own plant in Zhangzhou, Fujian — not a partner line, not a trading arrangement. The same roof that has passed on-site supplier audits with L'Oréal, Watsons, MINISO and Mentholatum.

The line between a cosmetic and a problem.
A lip mask hydrates, softens and temporarily reduces the look of fine vertical lines. Those are the claims the evidence carries.
- Cosmetic wording only — no drug or medical claims, and no permanent-volume claims
- Colourant clearance confirmed per market for lip use, in writing, before artwork is drafted
- Plumping via irritants (capsaicin, menthol, cinnamon derivatives) declared as what it is — controlled irritation, with a sting risk to disclose
- Ingredients assessed for incidental ingestion, as lip products should be
- US MoCRA and EU CPNP / CPSR support; halal-compatible plant gel base as standard
Everything your technical team needs.
The seven lines that decide whether a lip mask performs, and the ones we hold to at acceptance.
| Gel system | Plant-based, leaning elastic — with a fold test as a stated pass/fail criterion |
| Finished gauge | Thinner than the face mask, with tolerance and a stated measurement method |
| Adhesion | Assessed on a curved, moving surface — a flat-plate test does not represent the application |
| Taste | Written into the sampling protocol, not left to chance |
| Colourants | Lip-use clearance confirmed per target market, in writing |
| Shape & size | One-piece or two-piece, notch, and the size range |
| Wear time | Designed-for time stated on pack — lip masks are typically worn shorter than face masks |
Test small, then scale fast.
The entry band applies to a stock lip die, a stock sachet with your artwork, and a ready or lightly adapted formulation.
Stock shape, stock pouch or jar with your artwork, and a ready or lightly adapted formulation. No tooling at all on this route.
Class-100,000 cleanroom capacity for mature brands and retail private-label programmes — same line, no re-qualification.
| Band | Typically |
|---|---|
| 3,000 | Launch or pilot — prove the SKU on the production line |
| 5,000 | A confident first order, or a first reorder |
| 10,000 | The point where custom tooling starts to make sense |
| 30,000 | Established SKU, planned replenishment |
| 50,000 | Volume programme, scheduled production slots |
We quote a ladder rather than a single price, because setup, changeover and QC time are close to fixed and the per-unit cost falls in steps rather than smoothly. Bands are exact quantities, not ranges — 4,500 units is quoted at the 3,000 band. Tooling is a separate line, charged once and not repeated on reorders. Bands apply per SKU; where SKUs share a gel base, die or pouch, we confirm what overlaps. What actually sets a hydrogel minimum →
