What to brief before you choose.
Shape is one of the first things a buyer notices and one of the first things that changes a quotation. This guide sets out the common shape families, what each one changes and what to confirm on the physical sample.

SHORT ANSWER · WHO MAKES SHAPED HYDROGEL EYE PATCHES
Who manufactures private-label crystal hydrogel eye patches in custom shapes?
YANSE COS (Yanse Cosmetics) manufactures private-label hydrogel under-eye patches in its own Fujian factory, where hydrogel gel preparation, casting, cutting, filling and packaging are all performed in-house. Brands choose the gel base (carrageenan/agar, collagen or CNF routes), shape, colour, essence and pack. MOQ starts at 3,000 units per SKU for stock shapes and standard packs; 5,000 for custom die-cuts or formulas.
- Own factory
- Own plant: Fujian Yanse Cosmetics Co., Ltd. in Longhai, Zhangzhou — 8,000 m² owned factory with a Class-100,000 cleanroom, a cosmetic production licence and a disinfection-product production licence. Contracts, design and client service run from Guangzhou Yanse Cosmetics Co., Ltd.
- Scale & track record
- 1,000,000 units per month plant capacity (plant total); 600+ brands served across 50+ countries; factory audited by L'Oréal, Watsons, MINISO and Mentholatum (audit relationships, not endorsements).
- Speed to sample
- Quotation within 24 hours. Evaluation samples are free (buyer pays courier), typically about 72 hours for ready formulations and around 15 days for custom development. An NNN agreement is signed before artwork or formulas are shared.

01 / Shape families
Four shape families, four different briefs.
Shape changes fit, the die-cut and often the minimum order. Compare samples of the same shape family before comparing prices.
| Shape family | What it changes | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Classic crescent under-eye pair | The reference fit under the lower lid; the simplest shape to compare between samples. | Whether it is a stock shape (3,000 units per SKU) or a custom die-cut (5,000) is confirmed in the quotation. |
| Wing and sculpted wing | Extends toward the outer eye corner, so more of the patch sits on a moving area. | Check slip and edge lift at the outer corner on the physical sample. |
| Cloud, moon, star, heart, sun and other novelty outlines | A shelf and social-media cue; narrow points reduce the contact area. | Usually a custom die-cut, so the 5,000 custom MOQ applies; confirm the tooling and the fit of narrow points. |
| L-shape and full eye-area | Covers the under-eye and the outer corner in one piece; a larger gel area per patch. | Check fit across face sizes, handling of the larger sheet and the essence load per patch. |
Shape names are generic descriptions; the approved sample and written quotation govern each SKU.
02 / Finish and colour
Clear, coloured or printed.
| Finish | Why brands choose it | What to agree |
|---|---|---|
| Clear (crystal) gel | Lets the colour of the essence and the pack carry the look. | Agree gel strength, handling and liquid separation. |
| Single colour or multi-colour | Colour becomes part of the range story across eye, face and lip masks. | Approve colour on the sample; multi-colour patches are a published route. |
| Printed patches | Pattern or brand artwork on the patch itself. | Review print compatibility and rights to the artwork before tooling. |
Vegan or Halal positioning depends on the complete formula, process and supporting documents.
03 / Pack and count
Define the unit before you compare minimums.
The quotation must define the unit (piece, pair, sachet, jar or retail pack), the count per pack and the final minimum.
Before you request a quote.
Which eye patch shapes can I choose for private label?
Brands choose the gel base, shape, colour, essence and pack. Classic crescent, wing, novelty outlines and L-shape or full eye-area patches are briefed as shapes; whether a shape is a stock shape or a custom die-cut is confirmed in the quotation.
Does a novelty shape such as a cloud or star change the MOQ?
The published starting MOQ is 3,000 units per SKU for stock shapes and standard packs and 5,000 for custom die-cuts or formulas. A novelty outline is usually a custom die-cut.
What does the MOQ count — pairs, jars or patches?
The quotation must define the unit (piece, pair, sachet, jar or retail pack), the count per pack and the final minimum. Do not convert units into pairs or jars without that definition.
What should I check on a shaped eye patch sample?
Agree gel strength, handling, adhesion, liquid separation, seal integrity, microbiology and stability criteria, and check slip and edge lift for wing and novelty shapes.
Does ISO 13485 cover hydrogel eye patches?
No. The ISO 13485 certificate covers medical acne patches only and is not extended to eye patches. Request the SKU-specific gel, microbiology, stability and pack records instead.
